Pumpkin + Lighting

In week 5 we looked at lighting and how it can change the look of images. Richard then asked us to create a Halloweedn themed lighting effect on a pumpkin. I personally think this is my best work yet as i edited the lighting and noise to create fog affects on the pumpkin.

Leaf

Here is my attempt at creating a leaf in 3ds Max. I used Photoshop to get the shape of the leafe and then edited the size/layout and depth of the coours of the leaf in 3ds Max

Materials

Today we focussed on looking at editing objects using the materials screen. I started off by creating a simple apple shape and then started testing out some different material affects. I ended up by adding a Bump affect to it, which makes the apple look less round and every part of it perfect. I then edited the shine and light on the apple to give it a lit affect.

My "Attempted" Banana

We were asked to create a banana. This proved to be very difficult and I think we will all agree that this does not look like a banana but oh well, it was a first attempt

The White House

This was my first attempt at creating something in 3d Studio Max. I was very happy with the result seeing as this was my first time using the software.

Mood Board

I was asked to create a moodboard about Biodiversity. Up until this project I was not really aware of what Biodiversity was. I had just assumed it was to do with biology and therefore living things such as animals. I decided to think about wht other meanings of Biodiversity there was and considered not only what some animals were but also the range of types of animal and where they come from and spend their life. This led me to look for pictures including Elephants, Turtles, Polar Bears and many more animals. I also was able to get images of a pond and desert scene as some people may not originally think about how this relates to Biodiversity. I also chose to look for some flowers and plants because they are also living organisms that Biodiversity focusses on.
